Data Analytics Engineer (Direct-Hire / FTE)

Our manufacturing client is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to join their IT team in a direct-hire (FTE) capacity. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and analytics and will play a key role in executing a well-defined analytics roadmap, including building a centralized reporting and forecasting platform using AWS technologies (S3, Redshift, and QuickSight) to support business decision-making.

The foundational architecture is already in place, tools have been selected, and multiple projects are lined up. This role is about strong execution, collaboration, and delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data models aligned with business needs

  • Develop and support automated data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading

  • Work with AWS S3 as the data lake layer, transforming data downstream using Redshift and QuickSight

  • Implement data quality checks and testing to ensure accuracy and reliability

  • Support and enhance reporting and forecasting solutions for business users

  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, developers, and business process owners

  • Document data models, pipelines, and transformations for long-term usability

  • Identify and resolve data-related issues efficiently and effectively

  • Execute against an established roadmap, delivering high-quality work on time

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong AWS experience required, including S3, Redshift, and QuickSight

  • Advanced SQL skills

  • Experience with data modeling (relational and dimensional)

  • Hands-on experience with data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL processes

  • Programming experience in Python or similar languages

  • Strong understanding of data quality best practices

  • Experience working with BI tools and analytics platforms

  • Ability to deliver high-quality work quickly and efficiently

  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner with business stakeholders

  • Team-oriented mindset with solid project management skills

Education

  • Master’s in Applied Data Analytics preferred
