WHO IS THIS JOB FOR?
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer who has seen it all and can be that Subject Matter Expert on projects and bring that experience to the team. This is someone who knows how to deal with construction issues and all the risk management that goes with that. In addition to this you must being able to perform structural design, detailing, and drawing production at a high level, and able to assign tasks, direct and guide less experienced engineers.

WHAT YOU NEED:
You will need to have a collaborative and professional work ethic along with a Degree in Structural Engineering and a Professional License or the ability to get one in Tennessee! You MUST have experience in an Architectural Engineering/Contractor or Consulting firm.
THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
- Technical Leadership and mentorship to other engineers
- Participate in marketing and business development activities
- Project Oversight
- Strategically function as project team member or design lead for multiple projects
- May strategically function as a PM for a limited number of projects
- Client Interaction
- Quality Assurance
- Budgeting and Resource Management

BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- Expertise in Structural Engineering design in Architectural Engineering and in the following markets: Higher Ed, Healthcare, k-12, Commercial, Industrial, Distribution & Logistics
- 12+ years’ experience in Structural design of buildings in an engineering consulting firm
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers
- Be very familiar with technical material codes, building codes, and design guides. Particular experience in Seismic Design is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative and professional work ethic
- LEED Certification is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited four-year college
- Professional License in the state of Tennessee or the ability to get
