Overview
Our client, a global leader in building materials and infrastructure solutions, is seeking a Director, Engineering Services to lead large-scale aggregate capital projects across greenfield and brownfield operations. This is a highly visible executive role for a proven engineering leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and operational excellence.
The Director, Engineering Services will oversee projects from early feasibility through commissioning, ensuring best-in-class safety performance, engineering rigor, cost discipline, and schedule delivery while partnering closely with operations and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead aggregate-focused capital projects from concept through commissioning, including greenfield and brownfield initiatives
Champion a safety-first culture across all project phases and field execution
Align engineering projects with corporate strategy, standards, and long-term operational goals
Direct engineering resources, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
Own project budgets, schedules, scope, quality, and risk management
Lead feasibility studies, engineering design, and development of detailed scopes of work
Partner with operations, maintenance, procurement, and cross-functional stakeholders
Track capital expenditures and provide clear, executive-level project updates and reporting
Drive continuous improvement in engineering execution, project delivery, and capital efficiency
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
10+ years of experience in engineering, design, construction, and capital project management
Minimum of 5+ years of experience within the aggregates industry
Strong understanding of aggregate processing systems and plant operations
Experience with AggFlow modeling preferred
Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with AutoCAD and Navisworks a plus
Additional Requirements
Ability to work extended hours as required to support project execution
Willingness to travel up to 50% across operational sites
Comfortable working in industrial, plant, and field environments
