D2C POS APPLICATION SPECIALIST
BARCELONA Y MADRID
Multinacional FMCG company is seeking a D2C POS Application Specialist to oversee the daily support, lifecycle management, and ongoing enhancement of core POS software applications used in D2C stores.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in global environments, excels at supporting diverse cultures, and demonstrates a results-driven business mindset with adaptability to changing needs.
Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders worldwide to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Serve as contact for the POS software solution, identifying and analyzing business requirements and incidents.
- Design, test, implement, document, and communicate solutions addressing requirements and changes.
- Provide functional and operational 2nd level support for local subsidiaries and D2C stores, escalating to 3rd level when needed.
- Work cross-functionally with business teams and IT colleagues to complete roll-outs and operate the POS platform post-implementation.
- Act as liaison between business teams and technical teams for all POS-related topics.
- Collaborate with third parties (software/hardware vendors, network consultants, SAP consultants) as needed.
- Monitor daily D2C data and data transfer between POS and other systems, ensuring data integrity and timely reporting.
- Work with vendors in relationships and create support structures for POS systems.
- Onboard new subsidiaries into existing central systems.
- Participate in projects related to the D2C/POS area, including integration with Group BI solutions.
- Provide directions to the D2C business to enhance the platform and improve its adoption.
Skills and Work Experience
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, specifically related to POS systems.
- Previous functional and technical experience with GK Software solutions is a plus.
- Good knowledge of IT Service Management processes.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Self-driven, highly independent, reliable, positive and proactive attitude.
- Available for international travel.
- Fluent in English; Spanish/German is a plus.
- POS Infrastructure knowledge is a plus.
