Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist. This role requires someone who can combine strong interpersonal skills with digital savvy—including comfort working with AI tools—to provide responsive, professional service. The ideal candidate will be confident in handling complex customer conversations, supporting both day-to-day interactions and in-person customer visits when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order management, and product-related questions.
  • Process and track customer orders using our ERP system and internal tools.
  • Communicate professionally via email, phone, and video calls, leveraging AI tools to improve clarity, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Proactively follow up on open orders, shipment statuses, and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Shipping, and Sales to ensure on-time, accurate fulfillment.
  • Investigate and resolve order discrepancies, returns, or complaints efficiently and professionally.​
  • Participate in occasional customer site visits or virtual meetings, representing Elec-Tron in a professional, solution-oriented manner.
  • Assist with customer reports and ongoing account management.
  • Contribute ideas for improving service processes and enhancing customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions, orders, and service issues.​
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer satisfaction and internal process efficiency.​

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.​
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.​
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Sage 100 preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.​
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.​
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.​
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.​
  • Strong team player with a customer-first mindset.​

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with supply chain, inventory, or logistics processes.​
  • Experience handling B2B customer accounts.​
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
