Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager of a transportation company that houses a third-party logistics division and a courier organization. The third-party division focuses on dry van, less than truckload, intermodal, and various expedited courier services across North America. The courier organization is committed to time sensitive, high value and mission critical shipments, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. They are TSA compliant and is an expert at first and final mile ground transportation services for air freight shipments. Industries served include freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation, logistics & warehousing, railroads, retail, government, defense, technology, electronics, manufacturing, trade show, entertainment, medical device, medical supply manufacturers & distributors, life sciences, biotech & pharmaceutical, and printing.
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for collaboration and communication with customers regarding time critical shipments, rates, and other customer service responsibilities. Resolves service problems by addressing customer issues, determine root cause, determining a solution, and following up on it. Entering customer shipment levels in operating system. Interact with accounting, dispatch, and business development teams. Serving as point of contact with customers regarding status updates, change orders, and addressing concerns. This individual would also be responsible for other duties that would help move the organization forward. Their goal is to provide the type of service that inspires customer loyalty, growth, and maximizing positive awareness of the company brand.

Background Required:
  • Customer Service for Business to Business (2 years)
  • Call center exposure (1 year)
  • Data entry
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite Products
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Residence: Wilmington, MA (No relocation/remote option)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Transportation knowledge
  • Bill of Ladings, Master Air Waybills, TSA form exposure
  • Bi-Lingual: English & Spanish
  • Education: College Degree
