Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the customer service manager of a regional transportation provider.

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for solicitation, booking, and planning of freight. Provides timely and accurate feedback regarding shipper’s needs, driver/power allocation performance and other issues that may arise. Ensures on-time service, order entry accuracy, and driver retention. Solicits Freight; manages assets. Utilizes optimization software. Improves operational planning by ensuring that the daily shipping plan is created and distributed to multiple origin points regionally and locally. Communicates by phone and email to ensure timely and effective response. Checks order entries for accuracy and update orders with rates. Communicates load changes or issues to Fleet Managers in a timely and accurate manner so that the driver can be advised. Notifies customers locations of upcoming deliveries.
