About the Role

As Country Manager, you will have overall responsibility for establishing and developing Olana Energy’s business in Sweden.

The role sits at the intersection of project development, business development, investments and company building. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building Olana’s Swedish project portfolio and developing the relationships required to take projects from early-stage development through to investment and execution.

You will work across several projects simultaneously and interact with landowners, grid operators, authorities, municipalities, investors and strategic partners.

At the same time, you will have a significant role in shaping Olana’s strategy, market position and way of working in Sweden.

The role includes:

· Establishing and developing Olana Energy’s Swedish business

· Building and developing the Swedish project portfolio

· Identifying and evaluating new business and project opportunities

· Driving projects from early-stage development through investment readiness

· Building long-term relationships with landowners, grid operators, authorities and partners

· Developing Olana Energy’s strategy and market position in Sweden

· Representing Olana towards customers, partners, authorities and other stakeholders

· Building and leading the Swedish organization as the business grows

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the full project development process – from identifying new opportunities to preparing projects for investment and execution.

The work is broad and includes involvement in land acquisition, grid connection, permitting, technical and commercial assessments, project structuring and preparation of investment materials. You will also contribute to financing and the commercial structuring of projects.

You will work closely with Olana Energy’s team in Finland and have access to the company’s existing capabilities within project development, technology, financing and project execution.

The main responsibilities include:

· Identify, assess and develop new projects within digital infrastructure

· Lead discussions and negotiations with landowners and project partners

· Drive grid connection processes and relationships with grid operators

· Lead permitting and authority processes

· Assess the technical and commercial feasibility of projects

· Prepare investment materials and support financing processes

· Build and maintain a strong long-term project pipeline

· Develop Olana Energy’s Swedish market strategy

· Build relationships with key stakeholders across the Swedish energy market

· Establish structures, processes and the organization required to scale the Swedish business

Your Background

For this role we are looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially driven individual who enjoys building something from the ground up.

You take initiative and ownership, make decisions and drive processes forward even when circumstances are uncertain. You have a holistic perspective, understanding how commercial, technical, regulatory and financial considerations interact.

You are flexible and adaptable, able to adjust when circumstances change, while remaining persistent and focused on achieving results despite setbacks.

Experience from data centres, BESS, renewable energy or other large-scale infrastructure is a must. An established network within the Swedish energy market – for example among grid operators, landowners, municipalities or other relevant stakeholders – is also a strong advantage.

We expect you to have:

· Several years of experience in project development within energy, infrastructure or a related field

· Experience taking projects from early-stage development towards investment or execution

· Strong commercial understanding and experience in negotiations and business development

· The ability to independently build relationships and create new business opportunities

· A good understanding of permitting, grid connection and the economic drivers of large-scale projects

· A relevant university degree in engineering, economics, law or a related field

· Excellent Swedish and English language skills
