Cost Accounting Manager
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing all cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, budgeting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, manufacturing operations, and financial analysis, with the ability to provide strategic insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and processes.

Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

Manage the monthly and quarterly closing of cost accounting records.

Prepare cost forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.

Review and analyze inventory valuation, standard costs, and variances.

Partner with operations and supply chain teams to understand cost drivers and identify areas for improvement.

Provide strategic recommendations on pricing, cost control, and profitability.

Support internal and external audits related to inventory and cost of goods sold.

Supervise and mentor cost accounting staff as applicable.

Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations (e.g., GAAP, SOX).
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting or financial analysis.

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of standard costing, cost variance analysis, and inventory accounting.

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
