Our client in Aurora, CO is looking for a Cost Accountant. The position details are as follows.

Responsibilities:

• Review monthly financial performance including variances and identifying corrective actions with Controller
• Prepare financial report providing updated forecast of current sales and profits
• Ensure compliance of financial records with GAAP accounting standards
• Leverage operational excellence skills to drive efficiency and increased effectiveness across business processes
• Direct all cost accounting, including standards and transfer pricing issues
• Act upon changes in business operations, markets served and products to ensure management has necessary data
• Direct all activity related to cash management, including receivables and payables
• Support long-term strategic planning and operational planning and budgeting
• Coordinate and support audit activity and resources, both internal and external
• Monitor preparation of required tax and regulatory reporting
• Provide planning and coordination support for acquisitions and strategic alliances

Requirements:

• 5+ years Accounting, 2+ years of Cost Accounting
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance related field
• Manufacturing is a plus
