Cost Accountant - Portland Metro

As the cost accountant, you will collect, analyze and report on cost accounting data. This includes preparing standard cost reports, monitoring inventory levels, cost comparisons, product costing analysis, tracking variances and making journal entries. You will also collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze raw materials, labor, and overhead; identify waste; and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Collaborate with production leaders on costs – ensure accuracy of bills of materials
• Prepare standard cost reports, variance analyses, and other financial reports for management review
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts
• Drive continuous process improvement
• Collect, analyze, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Collaborate and work with operations management
• Manage inventory valuation/control

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• 3+ years’ experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Experience with Microsoft Office specifically Excel
• Analytical and communication skills

Compensation-

$100 to $120k; MDV; 401(k)
