Corporate Staff Accountant

The Corporate Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records and ensuring accurate accounting practices.

Job Summary

The Corporate Staff Accountant will support the financial management of the organization by maintaining and analyzing accounting records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail and analytical skills to assist in the overall financial management of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Process payroll.
  • Support benefits/401k administration.
  • Audit, tax, purchase accounting support.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support audits by providing documentation and explanations of accounting transactions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience in a corporate setting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, NetSuite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Compensation is between $80,000-$100,000K
