SANITATION MANAGER - 1st Shift!!

We have a new opening for a Manager in charge of our in-house Sanitation team. If you have multi-site food processing experience and are looking for a career opportunity with a leader in the food industry, this may be the job for you!

DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:
Position is responsible for providing oversight and training, scheduling, development and supervision of employees for sanitation over all locations. You should be a SME regarding food plant sanitation practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Responsible for full and complete training of all Sanitation employees for safety and job performance.
  2. Responsible for scheduling sanitation employees’ hours, vacations, time off, etc., to meet Sanitation Department requirements.
  3. Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems impacted by the sanitation team to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  4. Monitors employee GMP compliance to maintain company and USDA requirements.
  5. Inspects plant, equipment and parts for cleanliness and proper sanitation.
  6. Accompanies USDA inspector during pre-operational inspections.
  7. Tracks trends to identify areas of improvement and actions needed to improve these areas.
  8. Communicates issues or potential issues to management.
  9. Participates in 3rd party and regulatory audits.
  10. Manages and orders sanitation supplies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Bachelors degree is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in food processing sanitation or production.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and mechanical skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of chemicals, chemical usage and CIP is required.
  • Experience writing SSOP's.
  • Knowledge of SQF, USDA and FDA guidelines and regulations.
