Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO of a premier privately held temperature controlled logistics provider.
The Corporate Safety and Compliance Manager is responsible for safety, training and compliance throughout the seven warehouses. Ensures programs are in place to meet or exceed all applicable rules, laws & regulations. Ensure all operations meet OSHA regulatory compliance, food safety initiatives, third party facility audits, and GFSI compliance. Supervise, advise & assist with claims as needed including workers compensation. Designs, creates, recommends, develops, integrates, & implements training programs related to safety & compliance. Participates in industry associations and events related to safety, compliance & training. Coordinates safety awards, responsible for new hire safety orientation, remedial training programs, materials and ensuring training is completed company-wide. Ensures completion of CPR, First Aid, Forklift & other training to all departments per policy or regulations. Plans & executes required scheduled safety meetings. Provides management reporting on safety-compliance & process training program.

  • Claims management practices, policies, standards & procedures
  • Regulations (OSHA, GFSI, FMSA, HACCP)
  • Executed safety improvement programs & KPI’s
  • Accident, incident & injury investigation & prevention
  • Training & orientation process (new hires, equipment use, proper labor protocols)
  • Safety/Compliance audits (DOT, OSHA, AIB, ASI, etc.)
  • Collected, analyzed, & presented data
  • Vendor contract negotiation
  • Software (i.e. industry software, Microsoft Office)
  • Residence: Milwaukee, Madison, Southern, WI (near an existing facility location) (relocation assistance)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Travel 25% - Local and Regional (predominately day trips)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Cold Storage, Third Party Logistics, Multi-site safety, BRC & SQF Experience
