Corporate Recruiter


The Corporate Recruiter is responsible for the entire talent acquisition process for all positions at the Client. The talent acquisition process includes sourcing, marketing, research, assessing, negotiation, hiring and onboarding. The Senior Corporate Recruiter will be a brand ambassador, attracting and selecting the best talent for the organization. This individual will be a trusted advisor to hiring managers by understanding the business and their needs. They will work together to develop recruiting strategies for identifying, attracting and onboarding talent into the organization


  • Work with hiring managers to ensure complete understanding of hiring needs as well as requirements and expectations of position vacancies
  • Train hiring managers on entire recruiting process, interviewing techniques & legal requirements, and use of HRIS/applicant tracking system
  • Lead initial conversations with hiring managers on position requirements and assist with writing job descriptions
  • Enter open positions in HRIS/ATS and write announcements for internal and external communication
  • Sources candidates from a variety of sources to create a diverse candidate pool
  • Participate and/or complete prescreening and screening activities for prospective employees including but not limited to completing reference checks and submitting background checks
  • Assess candidates’ behavioral competencies, motivational fit, and technical skills through resume reviews and candidate interviews
  • Maintain relationships with outside recruiting agencies
  • Actively partners with candidates and hiring managers to track candidate status throughout the interview process
  • Ensures a positive candidate experience at all times through communication and organizational knowledge
  • Facilitate interview panel debrief discussions, ask probing questions based on stated position requirements and if necessary bring attention to unconscious bias
  • Represent Client at internal/external career and recruitment fairs, etc.
  • Prepare compensation analysis, present verbal offers of employment to candidates and prepare offer letters
  • Set up new hires in HRIS and send to the onboarding portal, schedule and conduct new hire orientation, complete I-9 form
  • Maintain accurate applicant files to ensure legal compliance and demographic reporting purposes
  • Maintain integrity of HRIS/ATS, recruitment process documents, and security of confidential information
  • Acquire and/or maintain in-depth knowledge of CDFI industry
  • Nurture relationships with qualified candidates for current and future opportunities
  • Promote employee referral program and develop relationships with Client alumni and other Client connections and followers
  • Compiling and communicating recruiting data and metrics and ensuring compliance with hiring policies, practices and company values
  • Train, manage and direct work assignments of temporary recruiting assistant (sourcer) brought on during busy periods
  • Identifies and recommends cost-saving recruiting alternatives
  • Provide recommendations for improving talent acquisition process and orientation

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree and five years of HR experience, or a master's degree in HR management and two years of experience in the HR field, or seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification.
  • Adept user of HRIS/Applicant tracking systems and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management
