Our client, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier, is searching for a Corporate Purchasing Manager to join their growing team in Farmington Hills, MI.

Responsibilities 
  

The Corporate Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing function of the Automotive business segment:

  • Develop & lead purchasing strategies
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear purchasing requirements
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • Prepare various reports regarding market conditions & department activities
  • Perform cost & scenario analysis and benchmarking
  • Work with management to coordinate purchasing & buyer activities
  • Lead monthly team meetings to educate & facilitate information sharing
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Travel up to 25%


Experience
  

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Purchasing
  • 9+ years of experience in purchasing function
  • SAP practical knowledge
