Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP Manufacturing Operations for a privately held ice cream manufacturer, the Corporate Project Process Engineer is responsible for overseeing the delivery and management of multimillion dollar process and packaging related capital projects. Designs processes to achieve dramatic manufacturing and business results. Designs world-class manufacturing layouts, accelerates & enhances process and packaging designs to drive throughput volumes, and provides process engineering expertise to address process-related issues. Operates in compliance with regulations and the spirit of the Company’s Safety, Health and Environmental practices and philosophy. Acts as project manager for assigned capital projects. Accelerates production process flows through process and packaging engineering enhancements. Applies Lean and Agile project management techniques to drive cost reduction and improve performance (flow/set-up reduction, etc.). Monitors project monthly performance against plan and takes corrective action as needed. Builds strong, collaborative working relationships with Management, Supply Chain, and G&A Team counterparts. Plays a key role on the Manufacturing Operations Management Team; is an advocate for the company at all times. Embraces and models company values and holds team accountable for the same.

Background Required:
- In-depth project management background in CPG, ice cream, frozen desserts, dairy or food manufacturing (10+ years, prefer 15)
- Start-up experience gained on greenfield or brownfield projects
- Demonstrated experience leveraging process and packaging engineering improvements in food manufacturing
- Management and delivery of complex, multi-million dollar capital projects on time and on budget
- Knowledge of EHS practices
- Solid financial and analytical skills; comfortable operating in a data driven environment.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma training
- Tech savvy: understands and leverages relevant software tools to drive decision-making
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, process engineering or related field
- Travel: 25% or may as project schedule may require
- Residence: Lubbock, Texas
- B.S. in Process Engineering
- Ice cream, frozen or dairy manufacturing
- Packaging engineering experience
- PMP certification
- Bi-Lingual: English & Spanish
- Excellent facilitator with conflict resolution
