We are actively seeking a highly skilled Corporate M&A Associate Attorney to join our prestigious legal team at our Kansas City, MO office. This role offers the unique opportunity to engage in high-stakes M&A and other complex corporate transactions within a dynamic, supportive environment at an AmLaw 100 national law firm known for its commitment to excellence. As part of our team, you will handle deal-making at the highest levels, advise on sophisticated joint ventures and corporate governance, and help shape the corporate landscape. Ideal candidates will bring a proactive, collaborative approach to fostering long-term relationships with clients and contributing to the firm's national practice growth.

Compensation: $240,000.00 - $400,000.00, plus potential performance-based bonuses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate complex legal documents in merger and acquisition transactions.
• Provide advice on joint ventures, corporate structuring, and governance.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to manage deal processes and other corporate transactions.
• Directly engage with clients to develop strategic relationships and understand their business needs.
• Contribute to the development and training of junior associates and support staff.
• Participate in networking and marketing activities to enhance the firm’s visibility and business opportunities.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic performance.
• Current Bar Admission in Missouri or eligibility to be admitted.
• At least 4 years of extensive experience in corporate and transactional law, including M&A, joint ventures, and corporate governance.
• Strong experience in significant law firms or comparable legal environments.
• Excellent legal writing, drafting, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues and negotiate critical transactions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a national or top regional law firm preferred.
• Proven track record of contributing to the growth and success of a corporate practice.
• Strong client service orientation and a high level of business acumen.
• Additional certifications or qualifications in corporate and business law.
• Experience leading project teams and managing a portfolio of client engagements.
• Capacity to innovate and adapt to the fast-evolving corporate legal landscape.
