Corporate M&A Associate Attorney

Salary: $230,000.00 - $390,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate complex legal documents for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other high-level commercial transactions.
  • Offer strategic advice to clients, managing relationships to ensure satisfaction and successful transaction outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and other team members to advance the goals of the practice while fostering an environment of professional growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in client meetings and calls to discuss and plan transaction strategies and progress.
  • Research and stay informed about industry trends and legal changes related to corporate and transactional law to enhance practice’s effectiveness.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and business development efforts designed to strengthen client services and firm market presence.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record required.
  • Active membership in the Pennsylvania Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of substantive experience in M&A, joint ventures, and complex commercial transactions.
  • Proven track record of success in a legal firm environment, accompanied by a portfolio of transactional accomplishments.
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work as part of a team, showing strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage simultaneous projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with clients and managing substantial caseloads independently.
  • Advanced certification or continued legal education in corporate law or similar fields.
  • Prior roles that demonstrate leadership or significant initiative in process improvement within a corporate legal setting.
  • Experience in cross-border transactions, which may include regulatory compliance and multi-jurisdictional legal challenges.
  • Recognizable contribution to legal publications or speaking engagements within the field of business law.
