We are seeking a seasoned Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee compliance across five U.S. manufacturing sites, directly reporting to the VP of Operations. This pivotal role aims to ensure that all sites meet the highest standards in process, safety, and environmental regulations, enhancing our commitment to employee well-being and sustainable operations. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader who can independently manage our comprehensive safety programs and ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of health and safety management.
Salary: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead all EHS and regulatory compliance initiatives across multiple locations, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct and lead Management of Environmental, Safety and Health (MESH) assessments, PSM/RMP audits, and PHA revalidation audits.
- Complete timely and accurate compliance reports for EPA, OSHA, FRA, and DOT.
- Manage environmental permitting including Title V air permits and NPDES permits, and oversee DOT related permits.
- Lead waste minimization and emissions reduction programs at each site.
- Drive the development and operationalization of safety committees at each plant level to promote a safety-first culture.
- Work closely with plant operations to integrate ISO requirements effectively and improve overall safety and environmental performance.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Significant experience in chemical manufacturing environments with a deep understanding of process safety management (PSM).
- Proven track record of leading safety, health, and environmental programs in a multi-site capacity.
- Strong familiarity with environmental and safety regulations (EPA, OSHA, FRA, DOT).
- Expertise in handling environmental permits like Title V and NPDES.
- Ability to travel 20-25% to oversee multi-site operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly desirable.
- Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or related field.
- Experience implementing ISO standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to forecast and mitigate potential safety and environmental issues.
