Overview: Our client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed organization with more than $200M in annual revenue seeking an experienced Controller to lead the corporate accounting function. This role requires a hands‑on, detail‑oriented leader who can manage heavy transactional accounting while also supporting strategic initiatives and operational improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all corporate accounting operations, including the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial reporting processes to support a growing organization.
• Partner with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and strategic financial initiatives.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax compliance, and relationships with external auditors, banks, and other advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Prior experience in a private equity-backed company is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
