Salary: to $95K plus bonus

Hybrid - 2 days remote


Overview of the Senior Accountant position

Senior Accountant opportunity in the Central Jersey Area with a successful, stable and growing company. In this exciting Corporate position, you will play a key role in supporting management and operations with critical accounting information and analytics in order for the company to meet their overall strategic plan.

What will be expected of me as Senior Accountant?

  • Assist with preparing monthly financial statements
  • Participate in maintaining strong internal controls
  • Maintain control of all general ledger balances
  • Assist with the consolidation process
  • Reconcile the general ledger
  • Reconcile the bank statements on a monthly basis
  • Maintain accounting fixed asset records
  • Troubleshoot problems to ensure proper posting and data flow within the accounting system
  • Collaborate with external auditors
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

What qualifies you for this Senior Accountant position?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
  • 3 to 7 years of corporate or public accounting experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required (Pivot tables, v-lookup, financial modeling)
  • Experience preparing or auditing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
