Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant with a CPA to join our client. This position is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and supporting the company's financial reporting and analysis needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, advanced technical expertise, and the ability to work cross-functionally within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Account Reconciliation: Oversee and perform complex reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, including intercompany, fixed assets, and accruals.
- General Ledger Management: Ensure proper accounting for all corporate transactions and perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of schedules and documentation for external audits. Liaise with auditors to facilitate the completion of audits in a timely manner.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial resources. Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, corporate policies, and accounting standards.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and review tax filings, including sales tax, property tax, and corporate income tax returns. Work with external tax advisors as necessary.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices in accounting procedures.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of accounting tasks.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting roles.
- Experience in managing complex financial transactions and reporting processes.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Familiarity with GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls.

- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
