PURPOSE: The Team Leader Production is primarily responsible for managing, leading, and motivating an operating crew to safely deliver results in the Converting area of this new tissue manufacturing operation in the Southeast. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proactively coordinate, engage and lead the crew to achieve target goals around Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Ensure the crew is adhering to standards, processes and systems established
Looking ahead and considering business needs, develop and maintain operator skill level to operate at standard and address day to day issues
Strategically coordinate production scheduling including staffing, overtime, contractors, etc.
Develop a climate which encourages the participation and involvement of all employees to pursue continuous development and continuous improvement
Ensure that employees are aware of expectations and are accountable for performance.
Develop and mentor technicians to increase capability to achieve higher levels of operational responsibility
Support the Department and other site leaders in carrying out long range plans, objectives and activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Years of Experience Required: 4 to 7 years of manufacturing and supervisory experience combined
Supervisory experience in manufacturing in lieu of a degree will be considered
Proven ability to achieve high performance levels in a complex fast- moving environment
Ability to work independently, set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities, and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
Proven ability to work with various levels of the organization, from first line personnel to the executive team
Ability to manage through teamwork and influence, as well as gain commitment
Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
