Job Description

Job Summary: Experienced Controls Process Engineer with the ability to perform all aspects of a typical controls job from estimating, system design including higher level information networks, PLC and HMI programming, SCADA system programming, project management, and on site system startup and commissioning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Knowledge in specifying field instrumentation for food and pharmaceutical processes, as well as other process industries.

 

·         Experience with process control system design including, P&ID development, PLC system design, control schematics, and panel layout design.

·         Experience with 3 phase motor circuit design and load calculations with respect to the NEC and current safety requirements.

·         Experience in designing and implementing information level networks such as Ethernet, and Profinet.

·         PLC Programming experience must include Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Siemens S7. Siemens PCS 7 experience is a plus. Process control logic and batch system programming are the typical applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Controls Engineering
  • Experience developing HMI applications with Intouch, FactoryTalk View, FactoryTalk
  • View SE, PanelView Plus, and WinCC.
  • Experience developing SCADA applications with FactoryTalk Batch, FactoryTalk Historian, FactoryTalk Transaction Manager, Reporting packages. Siemens Simatic IT knowledge is a plus as well.
  • Ability to perform onsite checkout and start up at the job site location. Experience with directing electricians and fitters during the construction and onsite start up phase. Must be able to work well with field trades.
  • Travel is a requirement of this job
  • Project management skills require the ability to perform work within the specified schedule and budgets.
