Responsibilities
  • The Automation / Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment.
  • Install software updates with the latest versions.
  • Participate on project teams in the development of control/instrumentation system specifications and support factory acceptance testing of new equipment systems.
  • Lead the development and execution of small projects that are electrical/controls in nature. Upgrading of obsolete controls to modern technology.
  • Perform system start-ups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing.
  • Reload and reboot PLC to restore faulted equipment after power outages.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
  • $110K-$130K. Regional candidates preferred.
Requirements
  • The Automation Controls Engineer will have a BSEE (or applicable major).
  • 5+ years of experience from a manufacturing process with strong PLC and field instrumentation knowledge.
  • Programming and ladder logic of PLC’s. Allen Bradley is desired.
  • Experience in a chemical, foods, pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing plant is mandatory.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
