Job Description
Responsibilities
- The Automation / Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment.
- Install software updates with the latest versions.
- Participate on project teams in the development of control/instrumentation system specifications and support factory acceptance testing of new equipment systems.
- Lead the development and execution of small projects that are electrical/controls in nature. Upgrading of obsolete controls to modern technology.
- Perform system start-ups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing.
- Reload and reboot PLC to restore faulted equipment after power outages.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
- $110K-$130K. Regional candidates preferred.
- The Automation Controls Engineer will have a BSEE (or applicable major).
- 5+ years of experience from a manufacturing process with strong PLC and field instrumentation knowledge.
- Programming and ladder logic of PLC’s. Allen Bradley is desired.
- Experience in a chemical, foods, pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing plant is mandatory.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
