CBIZ Talent Solutions is seeking a Controller to join our Long Island Construction client. It is an exciting opportunity for a hands on Controller to manage a small team as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
• Manage accounting, finance, and payroll.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Ensure financial contract compliance and accurate billing.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, maintain proper cashflow and working capital
• Lead risk management strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting; CPA, MBA, or CMA preferred.
• 7-10 years in finance leadership, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Knowledge of public works and government contracts, WIP reporting and bonding
• Strong financial planning, analytical skills, and ERP proficiency. Leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities. Compliance and risk management expertise.
• Experience with Ajera or Deltek is a plus

Salary Range is $150k - $175, depending on skills and experience.
