Our client is a Seattle-based financial service provider. Under the limited supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, this position will focus on the management of a small team applying generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position is a hands on role that assists in meeting the organizations values and mission as the organization grows both organically and inorganically. This person will plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll while managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
Job Duties:
- Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements on a timely basis.
- Coordinate external audit and tax return preparation by external CPA firm.
- Assist with the budget process and manage analytics associated with annual budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee treasury operations including cash collections and disbursements.
- Assess current accounting operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing new processes and procedures.
- Evaluate and modify, as necessary, accounting, and internal control systems.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and related applications and making improvements and changes as necessary.
- Assist with the development and monitoring of business performance metrics.
- Oversee and/or prepare all recurring tax, insurance and compliance reporting.
- Hire, train, and retain skilled accounting staff.
- Evaluate, modify, maintain, monitor, and enforce accounting and financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA license.
- Knowledge of NetSuite.
- M&A experience.
- Private equity experience
Compensation:
- Base salary of up to $150,000.00 per year
