Controller

Immediate need for an experienced Controller with Job Costing experience to join an established and reputable Commercial General Contractor and Real Estate Developer headquartered in Atlanta. This role will report to ownership and manage a small accounting staff. With over $150 MM in current project work, you will be joining a very stable organization with decades of experience. Management duties includes a small accounting staff.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Billings

2. Weekly cash update

3. Bank Reconciliations

4. Monthly Closeout (Monthly Billings for Cost Projections)

4. Intercompany AR/AP

5. Year End Closeout

6. Insurance Renewal GL/Property

7. Bonding

8. Taxes

9. Business License

10. 1099 sent out by the 31st of January

11. HR/Payroll/ Adams Keegan

12. IT

13. Deposit checks

14. Cut checks for vendors and subs.

15. Credit Card reconciliation

16. Cell Phones/Computers inventory

17. Sales and Use Taxes

18. Work with outside auditors on Review

19. Insurance Audits

20. Input data into SAGE

21. Manage Certificates of Insurance

22. Auto Reimbursements (Yearly Update for Federal Approved Mileage Reimbursement)

23. Expense Reimbursements

24. On Boarding new staff

25. Business Licensea

26. Cost Coding

27. Job Costing

28. Gross Receipts Tax

29. Determination of Payroll, Taxes and Insurance (Labor Burden) for Estimates

30. Project Filing of Notice of Commencements

Position Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance with over 8 years of corporate accounting experience with a minimum of 4 years in Construction or Project Services with a detailed understanding of Job Costing
• Knowledge of Job Costing Software required
• Sage 100 or 300 experience a plus
• Previous Management experience required
• CPA a plus
