We are looking for a Controller to work for our Downtown Columbus client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

• Work cross-functionally, providing insights for business decisions, as well as enterprise opportunities, projects, efficiencies and cost savings
• Partner with our CFO to define and develop departmental goals and objectives
• Support the forecasting and budgeting process, including variance analysis and deep dives into operational and financial issues as needed
• Lead timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial close process that follows GAAP
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and daily guidance and support to accounting direct reports
• Continuously build, refine, and streamline accounting and financial reporting processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of accounting experience with proven progressive responsibility within a small company
• QuickBooks experience
• Prior management experience required; experience managing managers and supporting indirect reports is a plus
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP
• Broad knowledge of all facets of finance and accounting operations including, general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, banking, budgeting, auditing, financial forecasting
• Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
