A premier private country club located in the scenic northwest suburbs of Chicago is seeking a dedicated financial leader to join its management team. This prestigious property is known for its championship 18-hole golf course and high-end hospitality, offering a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere for its active membership. The incoming professional will find a collaborative environment where they can take full ownership of the financial health of a $9.3 million operation while enjoying a balanced lifestyle in a desirable community known for its excellent schools and local amenities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll, and cash management
  • Manage the month-end close process and ensure the accuracy of all financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Partner with the General Manager and department heads to develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Perform daily reconciliations of point-of-sale revenues and manage property-wide cash banks
  • Act as the on-site human resources and benefits liaison, assisting with onboarding and personnel administration
  • Ensure compliance with state and local tax filings and maintain all necessary business and liquor licenses
  • Coordinate with the home office to track employee records and process weekly payroll

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience within the hospitality industry (Private Clubs, Hotels, or Resorts)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close and operational accounting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial data to non-financial managers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized hospitality POS systems

Compensation Package Details

  • Base Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance Bonus: Up to $5,000 based on personal performance goals
  • Profit Sharing: Opportunity to participate in a shared EBITDA bonus pool
  • Benefits: Comprehensive package including health, dental, and vision insurance
