Keys to Job: 7 or more years experience and recent experience at the Controller level. Manufacturing work experience in business units with revenue at least 20 million in revenue and higher. CPA plus but not a must, US GAAP, Financials, Financial Planning and Forecasting, Cost experience, Sox experience a plus not a must, able to manager AR, AP and GL, financial reporting to executive level management.
Job Description -
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive strategy for operational management, encompassing revenue projections, cost management, resource allocation, investment planning, and the implementation of effective oversight mechanisms to achieve organizational goals.
- Safeguard organizational resources through robust risk management practices, regular compliance reviews, and securing appropriate protective measures.
- Monitor and evaluate operational outcomes against established benchmarks, delivering insights and performance reports to stakeholders at various levels. This includes shaping financial guidelines, generating performance metrics, streamlining processes, and producing ad-hoc analyses as needed.
- Ensure all reporting adheres to organizational standards and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain and validate the functionality of internal oversight mechanisms to support operational integrity.
- Uphold adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements, including industry-specific compliance mandates.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide critical data and insights necessary for their operational success.
- Establish and execute a tactical plan that aligns with the broader organizational strategy.
- Keep senior leadership informed on performance trends and offer strategic recommendations on resource management.
- Manage resource distribution in line with organizational protocols.
- Present critical issues requiring executive-level decisions to senior leadership.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or an equivalent blend of education, training, and experience that equips the candidate with the necessary expertise to fulfill the role’s core responsibilities.
- At least eight (8) years of progressive experience in operational or resource management, preferably within a production-oriented environment.
- Minimum of two (2) years in a senior oversight role managing budgeting, resource tracking, financial planning, and stakeholder engagement, ideally in an organization with significant annual revenue.
- Preference for candidates with a track record in high-performing production-focused organizations.
- Proficiency in both traditional and digital management systems, with strong analytical capabilities and experience leveraging technology for operational efficiency.
- Advanced organizational and leadership abilities, with a focus on fostering collaboration and team dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading teams to support organizational growth while maintaining efficiency.
- Comfortable managing complex initiatives alongside routine operations.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Collaborative leadership style that promotes teamwork and collective success.
- Ability to build trust, make informed decisions, and align with organizational priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize organizational objectives.
Certifications:
- CPA Professional accreditation is a plus but not a must.
