Manufacturing Controller
Findlay, Ohio

Non-automotive manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Controller. Daily you will lead a team of accounting professionals and will report to the Vice President. Daily activities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Leading, motivating and coaching a team of accounting professionals that oversee daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions for multiple locations
  • Coordinating all reporting and consolidation of the financials for the company
  • Preparing requested financial reports in company ERP system and educating team members
  • Establishing standard cost accounting methods and processes
  • Managing the monthly closing of books, including G/L review, journal entry review and posting, and consolidation of the company’s financials and analysis
  • Improving accounting processes, guidelines and KPIs
  • Analysis of forecasts, budgets and financials
  • Overseeing global cash management
  • Leading internal and external audits
  • Supplying the company with accurate and timely financial data
  • Tracking capital project and fixed asset management
  • Completing other tasks as requested by management
This position requires potential quarterly travel; including the potential for international travel. Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be detailed in their analysis and be able to take ownership of projects. Individuals will be required to educate all levels of staff on accounting and financial information. This is a salaried position with competitive benefits.

Requirements for the Manufacturing Controller:
  1. A bachelor’s degree in a related field, ideally finance or accounting
  2. At least seven years in a similar manufacturing controller position
  3. Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing
  4. Experience supervising, coaching and mentoring others
  5. A background with cost accounting, including establishing standard cost
  6. Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
  7. Experience completing financial analysis
  8. Experience with month and year-end closing
  9. ERP and/or MRP experience
  10. Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Skills preferred, but not required:
  1. CPA certification
  2. MBA
  3. Knowledge of public accounting
