Controller

Carolina PRG has partnered with a local Charlotte, NC base firm on a search for a Financial Controller. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting tasks for the business
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee budget, forecasting and cash flow management
• Monitoring budget variances and taking corrective actions when necessary
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Providing financial insights to support business decisions regarding pricing, investments, and expansion
• Regularly reviewing internal controls and making necessary adjustments
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
• Collaborating with management to achieve business objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5+ years experience
• Proficiency with current financial software
• Understanding of US GAAP
• Strong analytical skills are must
• Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information to ownership
