Overview
: Carolina PRG has partnered with a global technology driven manufacturing organization with a U.S. operation based in Northeast Charlotte on a search for a Controller. This role oversees all core accounting operations, ensures the integrity of financial reporting, and serves as a key partner to senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing accounting expertise and a track record of driving accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership that promotes collaboration, accountability, and a high‑performance culture across the department.

  • Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely preparation of financial statements.

  • Develop and deliver monthly financial reporting packages for executive leadership and global stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies.

  • Manage banking relationships and oversee treasury activities to ensure effective cash management.

  • Interface with external partners including banks, auditors, lessors, and service providers.

  • Direct and manage the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reporting.

  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, including managerial responsibility.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or product‑based environment.

  • Strong understanding of complex accounting topics and US GAAP.

  • Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools.
