Control Systems Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated Control Systems Engineer for our Albuquerque, NM office. The selected candidate will lead and manage projects involving PLC programming, HMI/SCADA programming, control panel design, and provide commissioning services. You will work closely with both our innovative team and our diverse client base, ensuring the delivery of high-quality control systems solutions tailored to client needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project execution including task identification, prioritization, and scheduling while maintaining personal accountability for deliverables.
- Early identification of problems and effective conflict resolution.
- Function under the guidance of experienced engineers to gain more professional depth.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution processes.
- Regular and direct interaction with clients ensuring excellent service and understanding of their needs.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulations and codes.
- Technical writing for clear project definition, requirements documentation, and customer correspondence.
- Engineering design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions in various control system projects.
- Support in factory/site acceptance testing, user acceptance testing, and client training programs.
- Manage and update project documentation effectively to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in engineering or a closely related discipline. Candidates with a technical degree and relevant experience may also be considered.
- At least 3 years of experience in process control, manufacturing, or information services domains.
- Solid experience with PLC, DCS, and SCADA/HMI design, development, and deployment.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities and superior client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and experience with SharePoint preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diverse process knowledge in industries like Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Water & Wastewater.
- Experience with Schneider Unity and Allen Bradley ControlLogix programming. PlantPAx experience is a plus.
- SCADA/HMI expertise, particularly with ICONICS or Wonderware.
- Proven track record in checkout, testing, startup, and commissioning phases.
