Control Systems Engineer
Job Description
Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Control Systems Engineer in the Houston, Texas area! This is a pivotal, senior-level role focused on Process Automation Solutions, requiring extensive travel (50–70%) to perform commissioning, installation supervision, and troubleshooting at global onshore and offshore sites.
Key Responsibilities

Commissioning & Field Service: Supervise all installation, commissioning, and start-up activities at customer sites worldwide. This includes performing maintenance, repairs, and conducting site surveys.

Systems Implementation: Integrate and implement specialized control systems (DCS, SIS, FGS) hardware design and participate in PLC/SCADA programming, testing, and FAT.

Technical Troubleshooting: Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex control system issues, both on-site and remotely.

Project Support: Work within established SOPs to support project execution, provide technical expertise to customers, and create/finalize the Bill of Materials (BOM). (This is an execution role; it does not involve project management leadership or setting standards.)

Vendor Coordination: Interact with vendors and suppliers to trace materials and ensure technical requirements are met. (Price negotiation is excluded from this role.)
Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Minimum 8+ years of relevant field experience in control systems engineering, focusing on industrial automation projects.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.

Systems Expertise: Proven Rockwell experience with commissioning exposure is mandatory. Expertise in DCS, SIS, and FGS hardware implementation.

Technical Knowledge: Strong command of industrial instrumentation, P&IDs, C&Es, wellhead facilities, control panels, and skids. Oil & Gas experience is a strong plus.

Commitment: Must be prepared for extensive global travel (50–70%) across both onshore and offshore assignments.
