Control Specialist

A 6 month contract-to-direct opportunity is available for a Control Specialist based in Santa Margarita, CA with the opportunity to transition to direct hire. Start is ASAP.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, installing, managing and/or maintaining Automation Systems used in a renewable solar facility.
• Ensure the reliable, efficient and safe operation of all controls & measurement systems.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of a solar farm construction projects. Coordinate with cross functional teams
• Review process and equipment design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and contract requirements and specifications.
• Provide technical and consultancy support on instrumentation and controls system and project activities for maintenance, operations, engineering and procurement.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing and configuring A-B PLCs.
• Understanding/experience managing projects such as site expansions or equipment upgrades.
• Knowledge of various types of electrical and instrumentation uses and devices, electrical systems, knowledge of asset and work maintenance systems and other general knowledge of technical applications and equipment.
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Hourly Rate along with reimbursement of Travel & Living expenses will be provided during the contract portion of this job.
