About the Role
We are partnering with a cutting-edge infrastructure organization undergoing rapid growth, focused on redefining the future of data center operations. This confidential client is seeking a Contract Modeling Financial Analyst to join their dynamic finance team. In this role, you'll directly contribute to financial decision-making processes by developing sophisticated operational expense (OpEx) models. You’ll provide critical insights that influence pricing strategies, capital planning, and enterprise-wide forecasting in a mission-critical sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, and maintain dynamic financial models focused on operational costs for large-scale data center environments.
- Analyze and incorporate a wide range of cost drivers including energy consumption, power usage effectiveness (PUE), cooling systems, maintenance, and staffing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and sales to align modeling assumptions with broader business strategies.
- Support pricing development and profitability analysis through robust modeling frameworks.
- Monitor infrastructure and utility performance to refine forecasting models and improve budgeting precision.
- Translate financial data into executive-ready deliverables to support board-level discussions and strategic initiatives.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), cost modeling, or investment analysis, preferably in data centers, telecom, utilities, or cloud infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in developing financial models using Excel, with strong understanding of sector-specific metrics like PUE, energy load, and IT power.
- Knowledge of data center operational cost components, including real estate, cooling, power procurement, and network infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success collaborating across departments to align financial models with operational realities.
- High proficiency in Excel; experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
