Contract Administrator
Manufacturer is seeking an administrative position in their Contracts Dept.
Administrative support to Contracts area, excellent communication skills along with proficiency in MS Word & MS Excel.
Must have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and switch gears quickly without hesitation and can work well with deadlines. Will train to begin handling direct service to a select group of Customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the receipt, verification and release of purchase orders / contracts from the customer.
- Ensure that those customer orders are released into ERP system for production to process.
- Upon customer or management request, providing status of any/all customer orders that have been received.
- Perform open order reports to ensure accuracy of ERP system and customer orders.
- Run weekly reports to ensure delivery performance and meet weekly shipment revenue goals.
- To execute customer change activity: must work with other teammates to ensure schedule, pricing and engineering change activity can be performed in a manner acceptable to all parties.
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 Years’ experience in Contracts Administration
- 1-2 Years’ experience in Aerospace setting
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to professionally receive and follow oral instructions
- High attention to detail
- Works well with others
- Basic computer skills required
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- ERP system knowledge is preferred
- Prior work experience in Contracts or purchasing is preferred
- Ability to speak effectively
- Able to hear average conversations and respond accordingly
- Required to sit for long periods of time
- Works in a well-lit, climate controlled environment
- Occasional stress dealing with mental / emotional demands of internal/external customers.
- Work environment is in close proximity of other employees and will be exposed to moderate noise generated from business office machines and multiple conversations
Compensation: $18 to $22/HR.
Hours: Mon. - Fri., 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
