What You'll Do

As Superintendent, you will provide hands-on leadership and oversight for commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through completion. You'll work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, owners, architects and other project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from cradle to completion
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of field operations
  • Develop, maintain and manage project schedules
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and construction specifications
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and project teams
  • Monitor project progress, quality and productivity
  • Identify potential schedule, coordination and construction issues and resolve them proactively
  • Work closely with Project Managers to maintain project budgets, schedules and overall performance
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) activities as required
  • Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety and OSHA compliance
  • Communicate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure projects are delivered according to plans and specifications

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 5+ years of commercial construction field experience, preferably at the Field Engineer, Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent level
  • Proven experience providing leadership on commercial construction projects
  • Healthcare and hospital construction experience highly preferred
  • Experience managing projects valued at $10 million or more preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling and project coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
  • OSHA 10-hour certification required; OSHA 30 preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining project quality and schedule
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively coordinate subcontractors and field personnel
