The Opportunity

We are seeking a Construction Manager to join a growing construction team delivering commercial, industrial, and residential projects across the Muskoka region and surrounding areas. Reporting to senior leadership, this individual will oversee day-to-day site activities and ensure that all construction operations are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role with a focus on active site management, problem-solving, and collaboration with clients, consultants, trades, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all construction activities related to commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects
• Directly manage field teams, including subcontractors and trades, ensuring accountability, safety, and productivity
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to guide and support the field team
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality control metrics across active job sites
• Ensure all site work is completed in compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and project requirements
• Act as the primary on-site representative for clients, consultants, and inspectors
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track
• Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of construction experience, preferably in mid-rise commercial or retail construction
• Background in General Contracting is required, projects between $1-$10 million start to finish
• Demonstrated experience overseeing commercial, industrial, or residential projects from start to finish
• Proven ability to lead field teams directly and coordinate multiple trades on-site
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, Ontario Building Code, and safety standards
• Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude is considered an asset
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with travel to job sites throughout the Muskoka region (within a 2-hour radius)
