Our client, a well established and growing retailer with locations throughout the US, has an opening for a Construction Manager.

Duties Include

• Review of Contract Plans and Specifications.
• Work with internal team members to estimate design and construction costs
• Evaluate those Plans and Specifications and establish lead times on materials.
• Work with Design Team on long lead time materials and be familiar with alternatives/substitutes.
• Assist in the development of the project's Bill of Assembly (detailed cost estimate by building system).
• Writing of contracts and scopes of work.
• Development of the Project Schedule with Field Superintendent input.
• Management of the Project Schedule.
• Administer all subcontract requirement and submittals to ensure compliance of all contract requirements.
• Work with internal team members to estimate design and construction costs
• Coordinate with design professionals during concept design, construction drawing preparation and construction phases of each project
• Manage the bid process.
• Lead project team consisting of design consultants, general contractor, and internal departments who are stakeholders in the project
• Monitor project performance and follow standard procedures if performance falls below expected levels
• Monitor project schedules and budgets throughout construction to ensure neither exceeds projections
• Serve as principal liaison to internal stakeholders
• Train team members

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project)
• Knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes and health and safety regulations
• Ability to quickly and accurately assess situations and apply appropriate solutions as needed
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management required
• 3 – 5 years of experience in related field required
