Construction Litigation Associate

We are seeking an Associate to join our Construction Litigation Practice Group in the Orlando office of our AmLaw 150 firm. This position involves direct involvement with complex, high-dollar construction disputes, offering an exciting opportunity to work closely with two Board Certified Construction partners. Salary: DOE per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of construction litigation cases independently.
  • Represent clients in complex construction disputes.
  • Prepare and argue motions in court proceedings.
  • Conduct and cover depositions independently.
  • Collaborate with Board Certified Construction partners to develop legal strategies.
  • Regular client interaction to provide case updates and gather necessary information.
  • Participate actively in trials and other court appearances.
  • Prepare case documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and agreements.
  • Research legal precedents and gather relevant case facts.
  • Contribute to the firm’s knowledge base by sharing insights and experiences with colleagues.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Must be a member of the Florida Bar.
  • 3 to 7 years of litigation experience, preferably in construction or complex litigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle hearings and depositions independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Top academic credentials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction litigation.
  • Experience working directly with clients and providing legal advice.
  • Proof of successfully managing large-scale legal projects.
  • Experience in trial preparation and execution.
  • Familiarity with legal software and other technology aids in litigation.
