Construction Estimator

The Construction Estimator reports directly to the VP of Construction. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in large, complex commercial projects involving full scope estimating, follow-up, and negotiation processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Bid estimates for structural, tilt wall, civil, concrete paving, and heavy foundation projects.
• Utilize onscreen software to develop accurate job estimates.
• Identify project labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, written specifications, etc.
• Create project budgets.
• Perform preliminary scheduling.
• Issue proposals.
• Develop and deliver presentations as necessary.
• Negotiate contracts.
• Conduct handoff meetings with Operations teams.
• Perform value engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 - 15 years of concrete estimating experience.
• 5 years of construction operations experience is preferred.
• Strong plan comprehension and analytical aptitude.
• Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines as well as with a team.
