Construction Crewman

Job Summary:
The applicant will have the knowledge, skills and ability to successfully layout a site and install tower foundations, ability to tie and place rebar cages per specifications, install equipment shelter foundations, finish exposed concrete and tower road constructions (to include finished grade, fabric, and culverts).
Essential Functions

- Responsible for company provided vehicle, trailer, tools, equipment and supplies
- Excavating, forming, and pouring tower foundation spread footings
- Forming footings, walls, and slabs
- Tie rebar mats, and cages
- Trenching and installing PVC conduit and ground rings
- Fencing of foundation perimeters
- Shoveling and raking dirt and gravel
- Pick up trash on site daily
- Take pictures of final work and provide all turnover documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Ability to lift/pull heavy equipment
- Good organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
- Comfortable working outdoors in the elements while working with a great team
- Ability to climb extended heights upwards of 200’ is a plus but not required
- Must pass a drug screening test and a criminal background check.
- Proven ability to operate excavation equipment
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe/acceptable driving record in compliance with company policy
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience with basic hand tools
Job Classification:

Work Environment/Hazards:
- Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind
- In proximity of heavy machinery and moving vehicles
- Moderate noise level
- Use of PPE
- Working in elevated places such as towers
Physical Demands:
- Frequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of at least 60 pounds or more
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
- Must be able to climb roof tops of all types and to perform job duties from high places.
- Must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up roofs and vertical tower repeatedly
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position
- Frequently required to use hand and power tools
- Must have the ability to climb extended heights upwards of 200 feet and pass the Tower Climbing Certification
Working Hours/Days:
- Min 40 hours, flexible
- Overtime as needed
- Monday through Friday
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 75% travel required
- Some overnight will be required
