They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Administrator to join their dynamic team.
Job Description: The Construction Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of building construction projects. This role requires a general familiarity with all facets of building construction and involves frequent travel to project job sites for on-site observations. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site observations of construction projects to monitor progress and ensure compliance with architectural plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document site visits by typing detailed observation reports, noting any discrepancies or issues that need addressing.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, answering their questions and addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the construction process.
- Coordinate with architects and other project team members to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing as planned.
- Assist in resolving any construction-related problems or disputes that may occur.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all project documentation, correspondence, and reports.
- Stay updated with the latest construction techniques, materials, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- General familiarity with all aspects of building construction, including knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project job sites for on-site observation and inspections.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- General knowledge of computers and proficiency in typing observation reports, answering contractor questions, and handling other correspondence.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites (transportation will be provided by the architect).
Education and Experience:
- A background in construction management, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in construction administration or a similar role is a plus.
