Client Summary:

Healthcare Navigation Company: Health cost navigator guiding wealthy clients through the challenges of the US Healthcare System

Services: Concierge Advocacy program assisting & consulting clients with Health Insurance and Medical billing challenges

Mission: Simplifying healthcare for clients, helping them to save time and lower costs

Target Audience: The company targets wealth managers, family offices, and private banks. Sales are primarily driven by referrals and word-of-mouth marketing.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Building ongoing advisory relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor to clients with the ability to help them navigate challenging healthcare issues
  • Understanding insurance requirements and selecting individual health insurance benefits (brokers only)
  • Providing ongoing guidance for clients to navigate healthcare solutions and providers in order to make better decisions
  • Reviewing and analyzing medical bills and EOBs for issues and assisting in resolution
  • Researching and resolving health insurance coverage, medical billing and Rx issues with insurance carriers and providers
  • Filing medical claims with insurance carriers for clients and tracking ongoing medical billing activity in our proprietary software
  • Assisting with treatment pre-authorization and insurance carrier appeals for coverage
  • Researching in-network providers, comparing pricing and recommending options
  • Providing proactive client service, including updating clients on progress and outcomes

Experience & Skills:

  • Ideal position for: healthcare / insurance / patient advocate; account manager for insurance broker; billing/revenue cycle manager for provider groups; client service manager for health insurer
  • Experience with employee benefits, health insurance, medical billing and claims
  • Professional, consultative, passion for strong client service, self-directed
  • Organized, analytical, strong attention to detail, creative problem solver
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain and advise clients
  • Able to influence and negotiate with providers and insurers to achieve desired outcomes
  • Nice to have – Health insurance producer license and/or Medicare certification, with experience
  • Nice to have - Medical billing/coding certification
  • Capable with online applications, strong Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills
  • Education/experience: College degree and 5+ years directly related work experience
  • Preferred - Commutable to New Jersey corporate office (30 minutes from NYC)

Compensation & Benefits: (Subject to Change)

Competitive based on skill level and experience

$80,000 - $90,000 with potential for performance-based bonus earnings.
