Job Description
- Scope of work
The Senior Computer, Application Support specialist will provide technical expertise and coordination in the design, implementation, and sustainment of emerging technology solutions to support cross-domain interoperability, secure data exchange, and digital modernization initiatives aligned with the organization’s digital transformation and operational priorities. This includes configuring SCED/TIP connectors, enforcing RBAC policies, and supporting secure orchestration of AI/data workflows across Google Cloud and JDCP AWS environments.
- Tasks
For the identified tasks below – the Senior Computer, Application Support specialist will provide temporary and urgent individual or team-based support;
- Support the design and implementation of AI/data platforms (Palantir) and secure cross-domain solutions, ensuring alignment with CAF operational and security
- Facilitate coordination across CAF operators, Cloud teams, and vendors to enable secure cross-domain data exchange and AI-enabled analytics
- Advise and instruct end-users and technical teams on AI/data platforms, cross-domain solutions, and secure Cloud workflows
- Troubleshoot issues related to cross-domain data transfer, Cloud integration, or AI/data platform functionality
- Responding to technical difficulties in AI or cross-domain systems, ensuring operational continuity and adherence to security policies
- Apply GC security standards, Zero-Trust principles, and ITSG-33 compliance to cross-domain and AI/data integration workflows
- Maintain and support secure connectivity between Google Cloud, JDCP AWS, CSNI, and other CAF operational environments
- Track issues, resolutions, and best practices for AI platforms and cross-domain operations to support knowledge transfer
- Ensure AI and cross-domain solutions meet engineering standards, operational requirements, and security compliance
- Implement and configure infrastructure components (e.g., SCED/TIP connectors, RBAC policies) to support secure data transfer, AI/data orchestration, and cloud integration.
- Analyze and resolve interoperability or integration issues between Cloud, cross-domain, and AI/data systems
- Identify opportunities to improve AI/data workflows, cross-domain integration, or Cloud connectivity in support of CAF operations
- Contribute to upgrades or migration initiatives for AI platforms, Cloud workloads, or cross-domain solutions, ensuring minimal operational disruption.

The proposed resource must have: · Master’s degree in a relevant discipline: Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a relevant field with specialization in one of these areas, and; · DNDAF (Department of National Defence Architecture Framework) certification. · Palantir (6 months experience within the last 5 years)
Proof of education and certification must be provided at bid submission. |
