Keys to Job: Must have compliance experience; Job Summary of the Compliance Engineer: The Compliance Engineer is responsible for making sure various products meet safety standards. The Compliance Engineer will support the Product Platforms and Product Launch Activities by submitting regulatory paperwork and educating personnel and customers about compliance requirements. The Compliance Engineer will maintain product safety listings and Nationally Recognized Test Labs (NRTLs), confirm regulatory compliance to Environmental directives, and support product compliance actions required for export. This is a hands-on position working with technicians, engineers, the product development team, and third-party certification parties to complete validation projects, product testing, building prototypes, and maintaining test equipment. Qualifications of Compliance Engineer: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline, such as systems engineering, materials science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in standards compliance, product validation, or technical oversight within a production-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with industry-recognized regulatory frameworks and environmental guidelines, ensuring product safety and sustainability.
  • Proficiency in drafting technical protocols, generating reports, and documenting validation outcomes.
  • Experience with advanced design tools, such as spatial modeling software, to support technical evaluations.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex technical specifications, schematics, and performance requirements.
  • Expertise in designing and validating integrated systems, with a focus on operational reliability.
  • Knowledge of conductive interfaces or fundamental technical principles is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while meeting stringent deadlines and maintaining high productivity.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard product integrity by partnering with technical and design teams to review specifications, identify potential issues, and ensure alignment with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate modifications to existing solutions, ensuring continued compliance with certification protocols and sustainability directives.
  • Develop validation strategies by researching and selecting appropriate benchmarks for safety and performance.
  • Assess emerging compliance methodologies, qualifying external partners, components, and materials to meet organizational standards.
  • Support compliance initiatives by establishing timelines, resource requirements, and coordination with testing facilities and equipment.
  • Verify adherence to standards through rigorous analysis, failure diagnostics, and oversight of external contractors, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Resolve non-compliance challenges by recommending design or process adjustments, initiating corrective actions, and supporting external audits.
  • Document validation efforts by preparing approval submissions, recording test outcomes, drafting investigative summaries, and maintaining certification records.
  • Curate a centralized repository of compliance data, ensuring alignment of certifications and promotional materials with regulatory ratings.
  • Generate analytical reports by synthesizing performance metrics and trends to inform strategic improvements.
  • Stay abreast of evolving industry practices by engaging in professional development, networking, and reviewing authoritative publications.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory partnerships, managing access to compliance networks and administrative functions.
